COPPERWORK CREATION

Lisas second Boutique Luxury Fitness Studio is located in one of MIRVAC AUSTRALIAS most Luxurious 5 Star Buildings 477 COLLINS STREET.

The Grand scale of this high rise project required Lisa take her designs to a new level, and also upgraded her project management skills to working with a full onsite base build high-rise team.

In this space Lisa paid homage to the Heritage facade of the Olderfleet building, which featured original copper work piping and an industrial vibe.

Lisas space takes you on a very sleek, dark and sophisticated journey.

“each project or space asks different things of me as a designer and this one simply didn’t speak in bright tones like the original King Street Studio, this 2nd space demanded to be dark sexy and moody”

Lisa fully Project managed this build and was on site to hand select every last detail…

Working Closely with her build team Lisa spent a week on a ladder hand painting a ‘CUSTOM COPPER PAINT LOOK CEILING’ in each of the Studios Bathrooms.

“this space was particularly dark and I really wanted to breathe some life into the bathrooms which would also tie this space with my reception area which features my custom copper work drinks fountain, considering you spend a lot of time in a shower space I wanted something artsy and interesting for clients to look at, you can really get lost staring at it, its almost like a cloudscape above your head”

The Copper story is told throughout the whole space and clever nods to this can be found in the consult room, refreshments station and of course the stunning centre piece of the space Lisa’s Custom Copper work Drinking Fountain offering clients Still & Sparkling water for their training sessions.

Lisa personally created this stunning art piece with TBTI Plumbing right down to building it by hand. This fountain grew from a sketch Lisa drew on the drywall late one night, and developed into what is now, a show stopping centrepeice of the foyer area.

With no detail spared, the 477 Collins location features Melbournes first Yoga Cave, with stunning focal piece 2 copper pendants adorning this room, custom halo lighting and simplistic design allow clients to come to stillness and focus on their practise, it is truely a serene space and a really makes you feel good.

HERITAGE LISTED & HANDSOME

King Street was huge re model project and Lisa’s first Commercial Undertaking.

Stepping onsite to an abandoned shell of a building & King Street (Melbourne’s) oldest recorded building (complete with anti aircraft ammunitions door left from wartimes) Lisa felt that her task was to bring this once grand old building back to life, with simplicity, luxury and respect in mind,

“ my design really needed to showcase the beautiful history of the space rather than override it with modern elements, while also bringing a modern life to the space”

With Luxury in mind that also respected the heritage nature of this project a full scale interior demolition and renovation project began.

The controlled and considered nature of the King Street design brought light and life to a space grounded by original bluestone foundations and brickwork, which Lisa lovingly restored to feature in the hallway of the studio, including working closely with her build team who hand cut each floorboard to follow the original curves of the bluestone foundations along the entrance wall, as to not damage them.

To pay homage to the ‘Golden era’ that 226 King Street would have thrived in, Lisa uncovered a historical photo taken of Melbournes Southbank & Yarra River from the time, and had it transformed into a massive floor to ceiling mural which adorned the training floor wall.

Lisa Managed this project from Concept to Completion, including Remodel, Design, Floor-plan, Styling and Project Managing a small Build Team.

Her eye for detail even comes down to personally hand painting the 700 original rafter beams on the training floor so they were “just right’ Ashley Faithfull Training Studios King Street was a true labour of love.

CBD OASIS

A Community Wellness Project Lisa was Commissioned by St Collins Lane Directors to breathe life into an empty retail hub located in Melbourne’s most prestigious Shopping Complex. Sitting amongst Luxury retailers this space needed to provide refuge for office workers who needed a bit of ‘me time”

Starting as an empty shell and with the client brief being to create a Zen escape for office workers to practise Yoga & Meditation Lisa used her skills in both design, music and knowledge of lighting, all leading to the creation of a beautiful serene space, which was an all sense encompassing journey that took you somewhere else.

Clever lighting design created a both a focal point for yoga or meditation practise while also offering a mood from the moment you walk in… using spot cans on the walls the circles meaning an all encompassing never ending journey, really allowed yogis to drift and focus. The addition of a huge amount of greenery and plant life breathed life into the space, while velvet ottomans and complimentary scented towels and herbal tea greet clients on entrance.
